Marketleaf Practical AI marketing intelligence for in-house teams and small agencies.
Issue 1 · Vol. 1 · Est. 2026 The AI marketing trade, weekly.
Audience: Agency principals; in-house marketing leadership; senior practitioners interested in building public expertise as a side-effect of doing the work. Cadence: Steady-state publication on a weekly or biweekly cadence; works best when integrated with normal operating documentation rather than treated as separate marketing work.

Purpose

Convert the agency's or team's operating reality — the routines, the methodology, the post-mortems, the honest retrospectives — into published reference content that builds citation surface, attracts the right buyers, and serves as recruiting evidence for the kind of practitioners who want to work somewhere serious.

Tools and agents

Internal documentation as source corpus Translator agent (internal → public) Editor agent Publication queue management

Steps

  1. Treat internal documentation as source corpus

Post-mortems, methodology documents, routine designs, honest retrospectives — the things the team writes for internal consumption — are the source corpus. The work is to translate, not to invent.

  2. Translate internal to public

The translator agent produces public-readable drafts from the internal source material, removing the parts that are properly confidential and shaping the parts that are not into reference content.

  3. Human editorial review

A senior practitioner reviews each draft on the card-based surface. The judgment about what to publish, in what register, at what level of specificity, is the human's. The agents draft; the human edits and ships.

  4. Publish on a cadence

The publication queue runs on a defined cadence. The work compounds. The audience grows. The citation surface accrues.

  5. Treat the corpus as a long-arc artifact

The body of work is the asset. Single pieces matter less than the coherent corpus that emerges across years. Plan accordingly.
