Agency Pitch Routine
A routine that produces a credible new-business pitch — research, positioning, working creative, illustrative routine designs — for a prospective client account.
Purpose
Replace the all-hands-on-deck pitch sprint with an agentic routine that produces the bulk of the pitch material in days, leaving the agency's senior practitioners to do the work that matters most — the strategic positioning, the client-specific judgment, the relationship.
Outcomes
- Research brief on prospect and category
- Positioning options
- Working creative samples
- Illustrative routine designs
- Assembled pitch deck
Tools and agents
Steps
Research the prospect and the category
The research agent pulls publicly available context on the prospect — recent moves, current positioning, competitive set — and produces a structured brief the rest of the routine consumes.
Generate positioning options
The positioning agent produces three to five options for how the agency could position itself to the prospect. Senior practitioners review and select one or two to develop further.
Produce working creative samples
The creative agent produces sample work in the selected positioning — not finished campaigns, but enough to make the positioning concrete. Brand-voice memory is essential here.
Mock up illustrative routines
The routine-mock-up agent produces one or two illustrative agentic routines the agency would run for the prospect, with the workflow steps, the agents involved, and the expected outcomes. This is what differentiates an AI marketing agency's pitch from a traditional one.
Assemble the deck
The pitch-deck assembly agent stitches the components together. A senior practitioner reviews, edits, and adds the relationship-specific framing the agents cannot produce.
Human-led final pass
The agency's senior team does the final pass — the strategic counsel, the client-specific judgment, the relationship work that the agents do not do.
Antipatterns to avoid
- Treating the routine output as the finished pitch
- Skipping the routine-mock-up step (which is the actual differentiator)
- Underweighting the human-led final pass
